I have not written a blog for a long time, shame on me.
So I will begin again with a blog about my recent trip to London. My Mum and I booked ourselves tickets to go into Buckingham Palace!! We saw all of the State Rooms, Kate Middleton's wedding dress and finished it off with tea and cake in the Queen's garden!
Our day began with the perfect breakfast at Tuttons Restaurant in Covent Garden (click on 'Tuttons Restaurant' to be taken to the website).
I had the yummiest pain au chocolat and hot chocolate and mum had a bowl of porridge and a latte. Beautifully situated in the Covent Garden Piazza it was a warm welcome from the pouring rain we had arrived in!
There was an awesome man in the Piazza who put on a show, he even balanced a bike on his chin...
Next we hit Piccadilly Circus followed by Leicester Square, M&M World, St James' Park, Buckingham Palace and finished the day in Trafalgar Square.
M&M World was AMAZING!! 'Four levels of fun'. I never realised that we had them in England - I always thought they were an American thing but to my surprise and delight there is a huge one in Leicester Square which provided us with at least half an hour of entertainment.
...A little to excited by the multi-coloured peanut M&Ms...!!!!
We got to Buckingham Palace a little earlier so we could be proper tourists taking lots of pictures, poking our heads through the gates looking at the guards!
Here we are waiting around in the sunshine:
You weren't allowed to take pictures in the Palace but I can tell you it was amazing!!! SO much more amazing than I imagined. Glitz and glam everywhere!! We could however take a picture of the back garden.
Yeah...we sat in the Queen's garden and had tea and cakes!! Check out the chocolate button on my vanilla slice.
There is so much more I could tell you about it but you really should go and see it for yourself.
