Camping in Cornwall

Believe it or not I actually enjoy camping! Especially in Cornwall with the beautiful beaches, ice-cream and scones...not forgetting the shit weather!!!!!! Out of six days only one was nice..although it was a beautiful day so it kind of made up for the rest of the week.

On the one and only beautiful day Ben and I went to visit the Minack Theatre which was just amazing. It's a massive theatre that has been built on the edge of a cliff, the backdrop for every play is beautiful sea and  a sweet bunch of beaches/coves. The story behind it is unbelievable; Rowena Cade was the women who lived in the house behind the theatre - when she first moved in the theatre was just her garden, just cliffs. Whilst staying there she and a friend hand built the theatre...! If you click on the 'Minack Theatre' above you can read the history at the website.

Here are some pictures of the theatre:

Amazing - From Top

We stayed in Perranporth, a little town pretty central to a lot of nice places. It didn't take us long to get anywhere so we could explore other places like Padstow, Newquay, St Ives.

Perranporth has one of the most amazing beaches in Cornwall (I think) it's miles long and is great for surfing and sunbathing. These pictures were taken during a walk along the beach at sunset:

There is a pub in Perranpoth called the Wateringhole. It's a really cool place, a really relaxed feel - kind feels like an Aussie Bar with dim lighting and sports games played on the TVs. The best part of the Wateringhole is that it's on the beach! Literally in the middle of the beach on decking.

They do the best carvery:

As I said earlier the beach is a great place for surfing, which Ben loves to do. He even got me in the water body boarding!!...and I'm scared of the sea.

It was a lovely to get away and explore Cornwall, although one year a holiday with sunshine and temperatures hotter than 10 degrees would be good!
