Glastonbury Festival

I went to Glastonbury Festival and it was AMAZING! It was my first ever festival...and I decided to go big, throw myself in at the deep end and it worked! I had an amazing time and cured my fear of big crowds...can't really say I'm still nervous when for Beyonce I was stood near the front in the middle of over 100,000 people. Coldplay fixed me.

I was most excited about what I was going to wear, finally I could enjoy wearing festival fashion rather than just reading it in Glamour or Elle. Unfortunately I could not take everything I wanted to as I had been told to 'pack light' - it wasn't until I put my bag on my back that I realised why...it was HEAVY! AND I had been very strict about what I took.

Originally I had planned to take a maxi dress and a maxi skirt, thought they would be perfect in summer heat and wellies but as the weekend approached the weather wasn't looking good and a maxi dress dipped in mud isn't a good look so I left them at home.

After a good hour of packing and re-packing I finally had my Glastonbury wardrobe. A couple of jumpers, two tops, shorts, leggings, dresses. This was a good choice however I now know from experience that about four dresses would do the job, you get so dirty it's unavoidable so cute little dresses with a change of leggings is perfect matched with a denim jacket and of course an over sized rain coat.

Here are a few pictures of the weekend:

I got to see some great music, my favourite was Beyonce. Incredible. I also got to see Coldplay, U2, Ke$ha, Jessie J, Paolo Nutini, Elbow, Tinie Tempah, The Wombats, The Midnight Beast, a tiny bit of Katy B from the comfort of a waffle tent...yes.

There is so much to do at Glastonbury that I didn't just see music. I went to a silent disco, I relaxed in a hammock, I made a head band from wicker and flowers, I sat in a Teepee drinking lemonade and eating brownies, I made friends with a sweet selling man, I found a table (believe me a sturdy surface is hard to come by!), I got lost in mud and I saw some crazy theatre performers...the list is endless.

I could literally talk about Glastonbury all day so I'm going to have to stop now. I will definitely register for tickets to go in 2013.
